Q: I would like to visit the factory#what should I do?

A: Kuka*s factory which occupies 150,000 square meters and employs 6,000 is located in Hangzhou, a city next to Shanghai. Please contact service@kukasofa.com to make an appointment.

Q: How long is your Warranty?

A: Five (5) years for the internal and/or external structural frame.
﹞Two (2) years for cushioning material, mattresses, manual or electric mechanisms, suspension systems, wood trim and finishing and fabrics. After the first year, this warranty covers only parts and materials and not the labor required for repairs.
﹞Two (2) years for leather against splitting and/or tearing. After the first year, this warranty covers only parts and materials and not the labor required for repairs.

Q: What is the minimum number of pieces per model that Kuka will manufacture for a single order?

A: Upholstery 每 1
Occasional chairs 每 1
Beds 每 1
Mirrors 每 1
Tables 每 1
Dining chairs & barstools 每 30
Ottomans 每 30

Q: How many different models of upholstery and covers may be ordered in a single 40-foot container?

A: Kuka*s upholstery factory is organized to efficiently manufacture small quantities because it serves the 1000 strong Chinese retail chain. Therefore, it is possible to order as little as one piece of a model as long as the total order is a container-load. For the coverings, the customer may also order what he needs. Meanwhile, at the chair factory, the more intricate machine setups and finishing cannot be justified with quantities of less than 30.

Q: I would like a special color or type of leather developed for me#what would I do?

A: Kuka is interested to learn about your requirements, this is vital in our efforts to have a comprehensive collection of coverings. We would like to see samples (please note that it is practically impossible to understand anything about a new leather from a sample smaller than about 8 x 10 inches). If it is a color to be added to an existing leather, the sample can be smaller.

If Kuka believes the new covering can be well received, it will begin with an order from you for at least one 40-foot container of product. Normally, the company will not agree to exclusivity on coverings.

Q: I want the container to be fumigated, is this possible?

A: For some countries, fumigation is standard and the relevant cost is passed through on the bottom of the invoice. Customers requiring this service will receive the relevant documentation.

Q: I require bar codes or other special labeling or ticketing on the product#what should I do?

A: If you require any non-standard labeling, ticketing, documentation or logos, you should explain your requirements in detail and Kuka will respond with a quotation of the relevant extra cost. Any such materials which will be supplied by the customer or printed in China to the customer*s specifications must be received at Kuka at least 15 working days before the planned finished production date.

Q: How does Kuka handle after-sale service? What is the procedure if there are claims?

A: We will develop a claim form to assist you in bringing problems to our attention and to help us in making the necessary adjustment. In the meantime, we will require your written description of the problem along with as many clear and detailed photos as possible. On a case-by-case basis, we may also require your inspection of the goods.
Once responsibility for the claim and the cost of resolving it has been accepted by Kuka, Kuka will send necessary parts and/or refund the agreed repair cost.

So far, Kuka*s claim rate has been controlled under 0.2%.

Q: I have my own office or agent in China and I would like to inspect the goods before shipment. What is the procedure?

A: Kuka will need to be informed at least two weeks before the finished production date in order to coordinate the visit. Please advise your kuka sales person for the visit. Obviously, the inspection must take place before the loading date.

Q: Considering that Kuka has one thousand stores in China and so far seven stores in Holland, what are the company*s plans for other stores outside of those two countries?

A:With the success and international attention paid to the Holland project, retailers from many parts of the globe are expressing interest in opening Kuka Home stores. The company is interested in discussing these opportunities with SERIOUS candidates. For detailed procedures, please visit http://en.kukasofa.com/store_service.asp
